B. Free Design Co, (Formerly) Blue Ridge Chicks was established in 2014 and began as a pop up shop for vintage and handmade items.
I’m Brooke, owner and designer of B. Free Design Co! I am a native of Western North Carolina and I’m proud to call the Blue Ridge mountains of NC home. I thank God for the creative versatility to share the visions within my heart as well as my story. I am a strong-willed, southern woman, with a love for vintage fabrics and giving them new purpose. My style directly reflects my heart and the things I love most. I am a mother of four, married to my sweetheart, living here on our family farm. I am a small business with a big heart.
I pray the work of my hands tell of the unwavering love of our God.

BUT NOT THE MAKER-A POEM
Most people would have walked by this old quilt and never gave it a second look...
But not the maker.
The wear, the tear, the damage and many stains, most just turn their eyes the other way,
But not the maker.
The maker searches and seeks for the less than desirable.
For he knows the beauty far beyond the stains. The maker see’s the Glory, yet to be revealed.
So seam by seam, tear by tear and cut by cut, he removes decades of the past.
Tearing away the old, as he fashions the new.
Damage and scars linger from the separation of what once was,
Oh but the maker has plans for those marks too, as he continues his work to make it new.
Most would have given up by now, not having the will to see it through...
But not the maker...
For he is faithful to complete the work he starts. It is a work of his precious hands.
A work of his unwavering loving heart.
